The ever-expanding scope for speech-language pathology seems to be diminishing instruction of clinical skills necessary for implementing traditional articulation therapy, yet only speech-language pathologists can correct these delays. Participants learned to establish a baseline, which position to target first, number of repetitions needed each session, and how to increase their effectiveness.

This course is offered for 0.5 ASHA CEUs 
(Intermediate Level, Professional Area)

In order to successfully complete the course, participants will be required to attend the entire course AND complete the following:

  • Course Survey on Survey Monkey.
  • Knowledge Quiz: Multiple choice 10-questions quiz with a passing grade of 80% or higher.

Learners Outcomes

  • Describe the difference between traditional articulation and phonological therapy.
  • Demonstrate how to establish a baseline and decide what position to target first. 
  • List the levels of drill (i.e., words, etc.), number of productions needed, and what accuracy level you need before moving on.
